Kids dig york was our exciting family archaeology experience designed especially for kids! since 2001, our training digs had given participants the chance to gain hands on excavation experience, with sites in both york and nottingham.

With four special indoor excavation pits, all based on real life digs in the city and filled with replica roman, viking, medieval and victorian finds, children can grab a trowel and explore how people lived in these times. Located in the historic city of york in england, this unique initiative allows children to experience the thrill of discovery, while learning about the rich history of the region. the program offers children the opportunity to participate in an actual archaeological dig.
