Junior space week is a half day camp for kids going into 3rd & 4th grades at the deke slayton memorial space & bicycle museum in sparta, wisconsin. Learn about life in space, 3d print a rocket, use roblox™ to create a space station and learn rocketry, build a mars rover and more! you’ll be sent out on specially developed fun and exciting space missions that provide educational opportunities in physics, rocketry, astronomy, and math. Throughout the week, students are immersed in astronaut training techniques using equipment adapted from nasa’s astronaut program. they learn about space hardware, enjoy an educational water activity and experience a spaceflight mission while learning about aerospace career opportunities. Students will tour nasa johnson space center with possible stops at rocket park and the space vehicle mockup facility including its full size training modules of the international space station. Camp price ranges from $450 to $490 per week. our week is monday friday from 9am 4pm. pre camp and post camp hours are available: pre camp starts at 8 am and is $75 for the week. post camp runs from 4 5 pm and costs $100 per week.
