Slow Stitching Sunday Katyquilts My glitter quilt project is receiving some big stitch hand quilting to add some extra pizzazz and sparkle. i had thought that i might add stitches in a single colour, but i'm going to use all the colours i have which work with the fabrics used. So here it is the start of my heirloom quilt. slow stitched pieces of old clothing, slow stitched to wadding. later i will double quilt when i add the back fabric .more. I decided to go ahead and hand quilt this little doll quilt. jean was right, it was begging for it! i’m starting by just stitching in the ditch. then i stitched in between those rows. now i’m trying to decide if i should add more. it’s a one inch grid now, should i go to…. I like to close out my stitching year on december 31st, so i'll have the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 in next week's post. my stitching week didn't go so well.
Slow Stitching Sunday Katyquilts I decided to go ahead and hand quilt this little doll quilt. jean was right, it was begging for it! i’m starting by just stitching in the ditch. then i stitched in between those rows. now i’m trying to decide if i should add more. it’s a one inch grid now, should i go to…. I like to close out my stitching year on december 31st, so i'll have the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 in next week's post. my stitching week didn't go so well.
