It has been a very rewarding experience to take part in the isc19 student cluster competition in frankfurt, where we built our own cluster and competed against 13 universities from all over the. Isc high performance 2019 featured a diverse array of the latest hpc research, products and services in a welcoming setting. our 164 exhibitors had the opportunity to connect with 3,573 attendees from 64 countries and engage in productive discussions throughout the conference and exhibition. Eth zurich team racklette participated for the first time in the 2019 isc hpcac student cluster competition. racklette was very successful, winning the linpack award for the most performant run and placing in third place overall.

Team tennessee: this team is an amalgamation of students from university of tennessee, maryville college and phellissippi state community college. these are all first time participants, so they have their work cut out for them. Our team prepared well and we had all the applications up and running at the beginning of the competition. however, we still ran into a couple of hurdles during the competition itself, where we had to deal with new input sets. we faced some issues with the swift and openfoam simulation software.
