The package identifies core technologies, medicines and risk prediction tools, including the protocols required for management of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases and cancer. Cancer prevention must be considered in the context of activities to prevent other chronic diseases, especially those with which cancer shares common risk factors, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases and alcohol dependence. Partners in health works to ensure that everyone living with ncds receives health care by helping governments incorporate ncd programs into their public health systems and by building, advocating for, and implementing strategies that involve local, regional, and national partners.
