The elevate data for equity project aims to help change norms and practices of data use to advance equity and prevent harm to communities of color and people with low incomes. This paper, produced by members of the global future council on data equity, proposes a data equity definition and framework for inquiry that spurs ongoing dialogue and continuous action towards implementing data equity in organizations. Our economic mobility and opportunity team works with local and state governments and policymakers, small and medium sized businesses, community and advocacy organizations, funders, and researchers to help increase long term economic security for people earning low incomes.
