Indigenous Food Sovereignty Panel Land Back Land Access Young This panel will explore these questions and share ways that indigenous farmers are accessing and stewarding land towards indigenous food sovereignty (ifs) under the colonial government’s complex system of land title. During a virtual discussion on indigenous food sovereignty, three environmental stewards shared what self determination, sustainability and landback means to them amid colonial displacement. Consisting of a multitude of natural communities, indigenous food systems include all of the land, air, water, soil and culturally important plant, animal and fungi species that have sustained indigenous peoples over thousands of years. This panel will explore these questions and share ways that indigenous farmers are accessing and stewarding land towards indigenous food sovereignty (ifs) under the colonial government’s complex system of land title.

We offer high quality indigenous foods and products to our community. we work to broaden access to native made goods and allow people to experience contemporary indigenous offerings while empowering entrepreneurs to expand their markets.
