Zen Teh Warin Lab Contemporary Her art practice is shaped by her proficiency in photography and painting, alongside her continual interdisciplinary investigation into urbanisation and the impact of human interaction with the natural landscape. This project is initiated by artist zen teh and scientist ching jianhong, in collaboration with curator hera and designer lim shu min. it consists of an outdoor art installation, web experience and a series of public programmes. In research and participatory performances in phnom penh, bangkok, and berlin, teh has been exploring how people perceive illumination, total darkness, and the volatile states that emerge when the borders of these opposites fuse rapidly in the context of war and global energy crisis. Mirror of water was a solo exhibition by zen teh presented at warin lab contemporary in bangkok, thailand in june august 2023. mirror of water was first presented and commissioned by the esplanade, singapore in 2018. Zen teh has showcased in group and solo exhibitions in singapore, thailand, cambodia, indonesia, korea, taiwan and china. she was also a guest speaker at regional and international conferences such as unesco unitwin and asean powershift. Zen teh is a singaporean artist and educator whose practice explores the interdisciplinary connections between nature and human behavior. working across photography, sculpture, and installation, her work reflects a deep commitment to environmental and social engagement.
