The International Maritime Employers Council Ltd Imec On Linkedin The international maritime employers’ council (imec) is the only international employers’ organisation dedicated to maritime industrial relations. we operate from offices in hampshire, uk and manila, philippines and represent over 250 shipping companies located all over the world. We extend our sincere thanks to the imec member representatives for taking the time to assess and evaluate aspiring future seafarers, as well as to the parents, maap alumni, former imec scholars, and volunteers for their continued support and participation in this activity.
Imec Philippines The International Maritime Employers Council Ltd We represent over 300 maritime employers located all over the world. we co ordinate the views of our members and negotiate fair and sustainable seafarers’ wages and conditions of employment on their behalf. It was a productive day of sharing maritime awareness and imec programs, giving students a glimpse of the opportunities that await them in the maritime industry. With offices in hampshire, uk and manilla, philippines, imec runs one of the most outstanding cadet programmes in the philippines and is dedicated to the long term supply of world class. Imec is the only international employers’ organisation dedicated to maritime industrial relations, with offices in london and manila, and a membership of over 140 of some of the world’s largest ship owners and managers, covering some 7,500 ships and 185,000 seafarers. The imec cadet training programme is a 4.5 year course which prepares young adults to become marine deck or engineering officers. the course is offered as a full scholarship to all successful candidates, which includes all tuition fees, meals, travel and accommodation. The international maritime employers’ council ltd. (imec) finds cadet opportunities for filipinos to serve on ships that travel around the world, facilitating smoother global supply chain logistics and more seamless global ocean movement overall. We are a leading maritime employers’ organisation committed to promoting fair and sustainable maritime labour practices through our social partnerships. we represent employers from around the world negotiating wages and conditions for seafarers as well as invest in the future of the workforce.
