Revolve Feature Onshape

Revolve Feature Onshape To begin, we will start by creating a new document in onshape and drawing a simple 2d profile using the sketch tools. next, we will select the revolve tool and specify the axis of rotation for our profile. Students will complete the activity worksheet by watching this video tutorial to create a set of rims using onshape’s revolve tool. then, students will design a set of custom rims on their own. Hello everyone wondering how i can extrude and have it revolve around the circular object and also not extrude into the center with the x?. To complete this we will only draw one hole then allow the computer to pattern the number of degrees we desire between the total number of iterations (holes) that is desired.

This project set offers more advanced modeling skills for those looking to strengthen their understanding of circular geometry, symmetry, and revision aware modeling using onshape. Combine: combine the revolved shape with the existing parts. subtract: carve out the revolved shape from the existing parts. intersect: retain only the intersecting portions of the revolved shape and the existing parts. new part: create a new part from the revolved shape. Download the basic revolve activity and watch the how to dimension video below. use 3d modeling software to complete the basic revolve activity, and add your screen captures to the document and hand in to your teacher or add it to your portfolio. Draw a vertical line and then use arcs and lines to make another shape on the right side of the line. be sure the shape attaches to the top and bottom of the vertical line. your shape doesn’t have to look just like mine but it does need to be a solid part sketch.
