There are no hydro lines to the shoes, cable only, the hydro lines go straight to the calipers. switching to the skyline 300zx setup will improve it, but because the caliper is better and the disc is bigger, not because of the drum bit.

The other more sensible option is to change the hydro cylinder to one with a line in and out, were the singal line from the front going to the rear brakes is redirected through the hydro and on to the back breaks before they spilt into two lines. It takes a fairly big fucking amount of force on the hydro handle to get the rear wheels to lock, so much that i actually snapped the bracket i fabbed up for it. I fitted a driftworks hydro handbrake set up to my 14a and its locks up the tits even with cheapo pads. the only time they wont lock is when the pads are cold, just hold the hydro on for a few secs and bam locks up easy.
