How Yellowbrick Data Contributed To Improving Linbit Open Source This was the case earlier in 2023 with a community user of the linbit developed open source software defined storage (sds) solution for kubernetes. this blog post will highlight that user, yellowbrick data, and how its team worked to improve linbit’s software within an open source framework. In a recent discussion with linbit, yellowbrick engineers miki grof tisza and mike panchenko delved into their contributions to open source projects that enable yellowbrick's deployment.
How Yellowbrick Data Contributed To Improving Linbit Open Source One of the reasons that linbit® uses an open source licensing model1 for nearly all of the software that linbit developers create is because the open source model encourages collaboration and engagement with users, in a way that closed source software does not. Unlike other data warehouses that struggle to do streaming ingest efficiently, the hybrid nature of the yellowbrick storage engine allows it to easily ingest large numbers of small transactions and query the most recent data, along with historical data, in a transactionally consistent fashion.
