Pin På Computer When we look at the stem ct literature, computer science education is studied by using various programming methods for problem solving through computational thinking skills in stem. This study presents a systematic mapping of studies published prior to 2021 in web of science or scopus in order to examine the research trends on the factors that cause students to choose a career in computer science, or more generically, in the stem fields.

Computer Science Stem Interest Academics Montana State University This research is focused on exploring the importance of stem (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in the development of critical competencies among secondary school students in the 21st century. Computational thinking is believed to be beneficial for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (stem) learning as it is closely related to many other skills required by stem disciplines. This meta analysis synthesises findings from 46 high quality empirical studies to verify the effectiveness of integrating ct into stem on the development of students' cognitive and non cognitive skills and to analyse the moderating effects of various potential factors on skill acquisition. As the number of kids seeking computer science degrees falters, stem minded high schoolers are looking at fields that blend computing with analysis, interpretation, and data.

As the number of kids seeking computer science degrees falters, stem minded high schoolers are looking at fields that blend computing with analysis, interpretation, and data. A quasi experimental design that included 77 secondary school students from public and private schools in bandar lampung, indonesia, who participated in stem interventions for over 5 weeks, was adopted. data were collected through creative thinking tests and questionnaires on ct and stem attitudes. This study presented the current state of pedagogical approaches including project based learning for developing computational thinking in stem students, revealing relevant progress but different degrees of adoption across educational contexts. (grover & pea, 2013). however, computer science or programming courses are still limited, especially in lower grades in k–12 settings; even if the courses are accessible to all students,. Research focusing on the integration of computational thinking (ct) into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (stem) education started to emerge. we conducted a semi systematic literature review on 55 empirical studies on this topic.
