Home Mayan Languages Preservation Project Our mayan languages are not a relic of a past civilization. our languages, our words, and our cultures are alive, vibrant, and strong. by participating in the mayan languages preservation and digitization project, we ensure that our languages will continue to thrive beyond boundaries and time. The mayan languages preservation and digitization project (mlpp) was launched in 2023 to preserve around 20 mayan languages, including qʼeqchiʼ, kʼicheʼ and kaqchikel.
Home Mayan Languages Preservation Project Through a partnership between the guatemalan publishing house cholsamaj, unesco and the mayan languages preservation project, this initiative helps children read, imagine and grow, without leaving their language behind. We are specifically dedicated to collaboration with mayan language speakers who share our desire to ensure long term survival of the many vibrant and evolving indigenous languages in guatemala.
