Relay Control From Home Assistant Installation Home Assistant Community Hi @jurgen2003, have you heard of esphome, it’s for programming esp8266 esp32’s and more for whatever purpose you like, be it sensors, relays, lights and many more. In my home setup, in each room i have primary and secondary light. primary (left switch on nspanel) is being connected physically to the relay and those are "dump" bulbs. the secondary (right button) is disconnected from the relay and works as software on off button for my smart lights. Anyone have any experience using ha to control a bunch of relays (16 32)? i'm thinking about using it for a haunted house. the relays would control 12v lights and activate props. in the past we've used arduinos but using home assistant seems like a fun challenge with more flexibility. Design and implementation of a custom esp8266 based relay control board integrated with home assistant using esphome, including schematic, pcb design, and firmware setup.

Design and implementation of a custom esp8266 based relay control board integrated with home assistant using esphome, including schematic, pcb design, and firmware setup. Following up on my previous post of the cheap and easy series, i’m going to show you how you can control 8 relay channels for about 25 bucks and in about 30 minutes. Thanks to this configuration, we now have a handy virtual switch to control our smart extension cord from home assistant, offering greater flexibility and automation. Firstly, make sure you have installed node red on home assistant.now let’s begin to add our kc868 relay controller to home assistant for turn on off every relay. This instructable shows how to connect a relay module to an esp8266, something that should be straight forward but needs a few extra components to make the relay work correctly if you're using the small esp device in the pictures.
