Hoffman Construction Molecular Engineering Building This sophisticated building houses the university’s initiative in the cutting edge field of molecular engineering; building it combined the demands of lab construction with the ultrahigh tolerances of high tech work. We’re absolutely thrilled to share that washington state university has selected hoffman construction company, in partnership with zgf architects, to deliver the new integrated sciences.
Hoffman Construction Molecular Engineering Building Hoffman integrated the complex, often demanding technical needs of research environments with leed requirements, and achieved a 95% recycle rate on the project. The university of washington is constructing phase 2 of the molecular engineering & sciences building. this facility is an addition to the existing molecular engineering building and as such will share in the use of existing facilities. Energy: final whole building energy studies are still underway. however, an early building energy model and specific ventilation models estimate that cooling energy for the ofice will be reduced by over 98%. This high technology research, office and classroom building, bullt in two phases, took the place of some temporary, wood frame buildings and the alaska yukon pacific exposition's women's building that was moved to a new site a few hundred yards to the northwest, just west of parrington hall.
