Scarborough Bicentennial Quilt Scarborough Historical Society Quilts commemorating the bicentennial reflect both patriotic fervor and constructive criticism of the government. as individuals and as groups, women chose quiltmaking for its symbolism as a women’s art form. There was a meeting held by members of the historical society and a presentation on the bicentennial quilt on march 8, 2026 at the somerset historical society.
