High Elf Swordsman Hive S ages ago i painted the cloak of a high elf swordsman to practice a bit of blending. it’s been floating around my desk ever since. last night i finally decided to complete it – set myself a target of 30 minutes. took more like an hour to paint and base it. not up to my usual standard, but i’m happy with the finished article. This painting guide can be used for many of the elves from the island of blood set and following it will give you a high elves army painted to a good gaming standard. When i want to paint high elves fast, i start by undercoating the figure white. the face (and hands) is painted with elf flesh and then washed with flesh ink, slighly thinned down with water. 1st video some helpful criticism would be nice. thanks. Personally, i think high elves (along with brettonians) are probably the worst army to use speed paint techniques on. clean and crisp is kinda their aesthetic. some contrast for the white robes and flesh would be a huge time saver, but i would put the effort into the details.
