2 Hcde 210 Interaction Design Studio By Olga Andreeva Medium Applying everything i learned from the first studio session about charrettes, i wanted to have my interactive design for the user very simplistic and easy to navigate. In hcde 210, we will introduce students to the main activities and techniques used in hcd and explore domains in which they can be applied. students will: apply their knowledge and reflect on weekly mini projects related to different techniques used in the hcd.
Hcde 210 Interaction Design Introduction In Studio Session Second The interaction design sprint in week two introduced the ixd process through the design of a smartphone app that will support the practice of citizen science, or using data harnessed by the general public that contributes to scientific research. Students are introduced to the field through a combination of weekly lectures (one hour), studio sessions in small group sections (two hours), hands on projects, and written assignments. this course satisfies the uw “individuals and societies” (i&s) areas of knowledge course requirement. After brainstorming, i decided to design for people who want to help scientists to find living area for different kinds of rare plants in king county. my target users are people who are interested in protecting rare plants or garden club members.
