Happy Valentine S Day The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum The old courthouse heritage museum, housed inside the historic citrus county courthouse, stands proudly on the square in historic downtown inverness, a bulwark of citrus county’s history in our ever growing community. Happy holidays! our museum will be closed from december 22 through 25, and from december 30 through january 1 so employees and volunteers can spend time with family and friends.
On Display At The Old The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum Permanent exhibits in the old courthouse heritage museum include displays and artifacts devoted to citrus county’s pre history and its pioneer days, and to more recent developments, such as the impact of the citrus and film industries on central florida. The museum features award winning exhibits on pre history and local history as well as a rotating gallery that hosts the work of local artists, traveling history exhibits, and more. It is on temporary display at the museum as part of our "tie one on an apron of course" exhibit, open now through january 7. come learn about the apron strings that tie us to our past in this exhibit!.
