Great Start Readiness Program Through Nmcaa Nmcaa’s early head start program offers high quality care within home based and center based environments, resulting in specially designed services tailored to meet the unique needs of infants and toddlers. our preschool programs consist of head start as well as the great readiness program. For the 2025 26 school year, all families have access to free prek through the great start readiness program, with priority given to those who need it most. currently, enrollment priority is given to those at or below 400% of the federal poverty limit, or about $128,000 for a family for four. Head start asks families to schedule a home visit with their fes for reviewing your “circles of support” (who helps take good care of you) and two important surveys: the family needs assessment (done once) and the family outcome tool (done twice). In order to prepare your child for kindergarten we focus on all aspects of child development. in addition to learning social emotional skills through play and daily interactions, we also incorporate math, literacy, language, science, and social studies aspects throughout our day.
