Undp Nepal Awarded Gold Gender Equality Seal United Nations We are delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded the coveted gold gender equality seal. this recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to advancing gender equality and empowering women through our internal measures. The new equality standard was unveiled in 2023 and is in the process of being publicised by the government of rwanda in partnership with undp, gmo, rsb, and other certified stakeholders.

The first cohort of nine private companies was, on 11 th march 2022, awarded with gold gender equality seal for their outstanding achievements in promoting gender equality and accountability in their business and at their workplace. The second cohort of nine private companies and public institutions was, on 30 th march 2023, awarded with gold gender equality seal for their outstanding achievements in promoting gender equality and accountability in their business and at their workplace. “today, 30 institutions have met the standards to receive the gender equality seal. of these, 25 earned the gold category, two received silver, and three bronze, based on how well they integrated gender equity measures into their workplace and services.”.

Seven private companies in rwanda have been honored with the gender equality seal (ges) certification for their significant contributions to advancing gender equality in the workplace. Currently, 18 entities in rwanda boast the prestigious gold gender equality seal certification, signifying their commitment to promoting equal opportunities, diverse leadership, safe work environments, and eradicating gender based disparities and sexual harassment. In 2017, our efforts paid off when our country office was awarded the gold gender seal certification, the highest recognition for our commitment to driving the gender equality agenda. Undp rwanda is one of eight country offices in the world that currently hold a gold certification in the gender equality seal initiative!.
