Gloster Meteor Nf 14 As the nf.14 was replaced, some 14 were converted to training aircraft as the nf (t).14 and given to no. 2 air navigation school on raf thorney island until transferring to no. 1 air navigation school at raf stradishall where they served until 1965. The gloster meteor nf mk.14 was the final night fighter version of the meteor, featuring an improved clear vision sliding canopy and slightly more powerful engines than the earlier nf mk.12.

The nf.14 was a two seat, twin engined monoplane, powered by two rolls royce derwent 8 turbojets, each delivering 3,600 lb thrust. the service ceiling was 40,000 feet and the maximum speed was 579 mph. its range, with ventral and underwing tanks, was approximately 950 miles at altitude. Re painted in 46 sqdn markings during the mid 1970s and remained until 1992 when removed, via kemble, to the gloucester aviation collection, (now jet age museum) at staverton where it arrived in 1997. the aircraft is undergoing a thorough restoration at time of upload.
