This document describes a research project to design and implement a wireless gesture controlled robotic arm with vision capabilities. the robotic arm contains four servo motors providing four degrees of freedom of movement, and is controlled via gestures detected by an accelerometer and flex sensors. In this paper, the control of a robotic arm using gestures wirelessly is demonstrated. traditionally, people used flex sensors or accelerometers to recognize gestures and rf transmitters to accomplish wireless communication. A thought and a way to eradicate the buttons, joysticks and replace them with some of the more intuitive techniques, that is, controlling the complete robotic arm by the operator's hand gesture is presented. This chapter describes about the proposed system architecture of hand gesture controlled wireless control robotic arm for pick and place operation using flex sensor and accelerometer and is done wirelessly using the bluetooth module.
