Meshtastic Github 👋 welcome to my open source map of meshtastic nodes heard on mqtt. the map shows nodes that have sent a valid position to mqtt. position packets must be unencrypted, or encrypted with the default key. use the search bar to find nodes by id or name. hover over nodes (on desktop) to see basic details. View your entire mesh network on an interactive map, with nodes colored by their signal strength and connectivity status. track node positions, signal quality, and network topology in real time. A nearly live map of meshtastic nodes seen by the official meshtastic mqtt server. Open source real time visualization for meshtastic mesh networks. map nodes, track positions, analyze coverage, and monitor your mesh — all from a web browser.

The project will then fully automate and parallelize the download process of map tiles. the output goes to tiles directory in your home directory. once you’re satisfied with all countries regions downloaded, copy the maps to the sd card. Before i went outside, i grabbed some map tile data, since the meshtastic device ui uses map tile data to render an on device map without internet access. for my local area (st. louis, mo), i set up tdeck maps:. Maps requires tiles to be downloaded to an sd card seperately in the map directory. you can have seperate styles of maps, by placing them into a maps directory instead. long pressing the maps icon will bring up a drop down showing all the map styles you've installed. Work is being done for custom firmware for it however no word on when that will be available ⚠️ for this video, we'll go over how to load some basic maps to the new meshtastic user interface.
