Girls in 6th – 12th grade from all over the knoxville community can apply to receive one to one mentoring! each girl is matched with a caring adult woman to give her the support she needs to navigate through life’s challenges and transitions. The girl talk inc. mentoring program is an 8 week program designed to meet the growing needs of our female youth. through a staff of volunteers and advisors, we hold weekly meetings designed to address various topics and offer tools that can assist the girls in dealing with day to day issues. This program connects girls with leading professionals in film, television, music, dance, and the arts, including producers, executives, filmmakers, songwriters, engineers, composers, dancers, and other creative leaders.

During the discussion, refer to the following list of roles, characteristics, and qualities commonly associated with mentors: • act as role models • help girls cope with changes at school, at home, or with their personal or physical development • serve as liaisons between mentees, teachers, parents, or caregivers • assist girls in.
