Get Involved Western Fire Forest Resilience Collaborative Become a member of the wffrc community. decision makers, scientists and researchers, and other partners are invited. By partnering with the fire management and policy community, we will co create and implement a research program that ensures the predictive science of fire ecology and forest resilience is sufficiently mature to support effective strategies to the fire crisis.

Western Fire Forest Resilience Collaborative Conduct rapid research guided by and developed with decision makers and forest stewards to address the fire crisis. track how forest and fire regimes are changing and assess the effectiveness of management interventions using remote sensing and geospatial synthesis. Wffrc partners with fire management and policy experts to understand, catalyze, and deliver the science they need. we are co creating and implementing a research program that will ensure that forest stewards have the best available science to inform long term planning. Wffrc is led by the forest futures lab at cary institute of ecosystem studies and is expected to run for the next 5 to 10 years. this position will have the opportunity to work with wffrc science teams across the country. 📣 join our expanding team at western fire and forest resilience collaborative! we’re currently #hiring two regional liaisons based in #colorado and the greater #rockymountain region, as. Crews will follow established field protocols to assess burn severity on trees and soil and survey pre fire and post fire vegetation communities. members of the field crew will gain knowledge of fire regimes, ecological effects of fire, and botanical identification. Through this webinar, the wffrc will share opportunities and updates with the community on how to get involved with community of practice activities, including town halls and upcoming events.
