Haxpresso Hackaday Io Some household devices tend to act up. my nespresso essenzia mini decided to misbehave, so i punished it. buying another one is not enough, because it would mean lazy retirement days, oh no! it must work until eternity! the machine itself is really simple. the pcb is small and elegant, so i decided to reverse engineer it and rewrite the firmware from scratch. it has a pic16 mcu, so it won't be. First of all, i found possibly deadly pins on the board. i'm not joking, the neutral is directly connected to the mcu's vdd pin and the mysterious pin header. be extra careful! always disconnect your nespresso machine from power before tinkering! enjoy this project? become a member.
