Future Engineers Future engineers inspires k 12 students to dream big, create boldly, and explore stem through exciting online challenges in collaboration with nasa and other partners!. In january, two k 12 students were selected as the winners of the inaugural future engineers 3d printing in space challenge for designing 3d digital models of tools that astronauts could print and use on the international space station.

Future Engineers If you are a k 12 student in the united states, nasa and the american society of mechanical engineers foundation are challenging you to create a model of a container for space using 3 d modeling software. Here at 3dprint , we’ve been following an incredible design contest since late september which combines both subject matters into one. the future engineers 3d printing in space. Future engineers is a series of 3d space challenges, sponsored by the asme foundation, with technical assistance from nasa. the winner got their design 3d printed onboard the international space station. This weekend, the first 3d printer launched into space. this week, we’re proud to announce our partnership with future engineers, asme and made in space on a series of nasa developed space challenges meant to empower innovative youth to design tools that can be printed and used in space.

This weekend, the first 3d printer launched into space. this week, we’re proud to announce our partnership with future engineers, asme and made in space on a series of nasa developed space challenges meant to empower innovative youth to design tools that can be printed and used in space. The challenge tasked k 12 students to develop items for astronauts to use while living and working in space by inventing a multifunctional object that combined two items into one. The winning entry in the future engineers 3d printing in space tool challenge, sponsored by the asme foundation in partnership with nasa, is printed in the additive manufacturing facility on the international space station. One of the most exciting series of recent design challenges is the 3d printing in space challenge series, developed in partnership between nasa and the american society of mechanical.
