Founders Park Purdue Arboretum Dedicated april 23, 1994 during purdue’s 125th anniversary year, the park is larger than two acres and includes walks, trees, tables, seating, lighting, and retaining walls. His parents, robert and margaret pickett, established the park in 1971 to memorialize their son and his great love of the outdoors. in the spring of 1998, the class of 1999 renovated the park.
Founders Park Purdue Arboretum The loeb fountain was originally located on the purdue mall in front of hovde hall. it was built in the summer of 1959 through funds donated by bert and june loeb to honor solomen loeb, a local merchant. The engineering fountain is located in the purdue mall, informally known as the engineering mall. it was sculpted by robert youngman and completed in 1989 with money donated by the class of 1939.
