Fosdem 2023 This year has started with the fosdem conference in brussels. i’ve had only one goal to boost my technical skills with the newest technologies and technics. i spent the 1st day in golang room and the 2nd in monitoring & observability. after 2 very intense days i calmly arrived home and started catching up with other rooms. Fosdem is a free event for software developers to meet, share ideas and collaborate. every year, thousands of developers of free and open source software from all over the world gather at the event in brussels.
Fosdem 2023 Kangaroot Finally, a face to face fosdem! the encounters invigorated day to day work for all of mariadb foundation, even those of us not present in brussels. with three years since last time, it felt like it was about time to see the familiar fosdem faces live again. For 2023, fosdem is once again planning an in person event. however, it will also be possible to participate remotely. all talks presented live on the campus in brussels will also be streamed. additionally, some talks may be pre recorded and broadcast online using the same matrix platform as in 2021 and 2022. Fosdem staff used the matrix rooms for on site support. whether the camera was blurry, microphones didn’t work, or there was a missing power plug: staff could be notified and answer very quickly before sending someone to actually solve the issue. Fosdem is a free event for software developers to meet, share ideas and collaborate. fosdem is free to attend. there is no registration. the bsd devroom aims to host talks about all bsd operating systems and connected projects. the default duration for talks is from 15 to 30 minutes including discussion.
