To narrow gender gaps, the region cannot continue to contextualize gender equality as a women’s issue. while trend analysis of the results of the various survey waves reveals a positive trajectory, the situation remains dire and women’s views are changing more rapidly than men’s. While some progress has been made in certain areas, such as education and workforce participation, the reality is that women in the mena region continue to face numerous barriers to equality.
