Forging A Gender Equal World The Asean Post It seeks to draw attention to the idea that gender inequality is not a women’s issue, but an economic one – as gender equality is essential for all economies and communities to thrive. iwd 2020 compiled a few missions to help build a gender equal world. This report is the result of the collaborative eforts and partnership between the association of southeast asian nations (asean), asean committee on women (acw), asean secretariat, and the united nations entity for gender equality and the empowerment of women (un women).

Forging A Gender Equal World The Asean Post In affirmation of asean’s continuing pursuit of gender equality and women’s empowerment, the 24th meeting of the asean committee on women (acw) was convened on november 10, 2025, and hosted by the philippines through the philippine commission on women (pcw). Raise critical awareness among asean member states participants on the nuances, policies, and practices influencing gender equality and social inclusion in their respective countries, highlighting common norms themes, best practices, and areas for collaboration.
