The unbeliever can understand what scripture says but doesn’t really get it, because without faith in jesus christ, god’s word seems foolish. however, to the believer whose heart is surrendered to christ, the scriptures are truth and life and hope!. When we take the step of faith and receive jesus christ as savior, the holy spirit takes up residence in us. the spirit dwells in our heart soul—the inner core of who we are, the executive center where all decisions are made.
