This study explored faculty members’ perceptions and students’ experiences of four research based curricula in two research intensive universities in hong kong. This study will inform our information literacy programming and may open up collaborations with faculty members as we identify new approaches to improve undergraduate research skills. When budgets are limited and teaching loads are high, colleges and universities often face challenges to provide opportunities for faculty development and superior undergraduate research experiences. We first review existing frameworks on faculty and introduce additional frameworks and theories that are not typically used to consider faculty work, especially not in inte grated ways.
