Eyc 2015 Annual Report Cover 1000x774 Empowering Youth In Cambodia Eyc has 4 community schools located in the disadvantaged suburbs of phnom penh to support around a thousand pupils every year, from primary school to university. Through its human centered model, eyc creates safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning spaces where education goes beyond textbooks to nurture confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. Much work remains to be done to combat the endemic development problems in cambodia, but empowering youth in cambodia is providing hope and inspiration that a better future is possible. Empowering youth in cambodia believes that providing opportunities to the most vulnerable children and youth in cambodia is key for the sustainable development of the country. Cambodia needs young leaders who care. this project will provide monthly support to 6 grade 12 students, 8 first year university students, and continued support for 10 university students to continue past their first year. Main activities: 1) english & computer education, 2) leadership development and volunteer internships 3) health & wellness: medical, dental, women’s health, awareness campaigns 4) sports, music & arts and 5) social work services in the communities.
