Through our program, students are given the opportunity to learn how to make informed decisions, accept challenges, build supportive social networks, and make meaningful connections. at ahrc nyc schools, we are committed to helping our students reach their fullest potential and achieve success. The program prepares young adults with intellectual disabilities for adult life through higher education coursework, campus life, civic engagement, self advocacy curriculum, and career development. students are fully included in college courses. In partnership with the city university of new york and the office for people with developmental disabilities, we provide a fully inclusive higher education program in new york city. because of that – academics are a core aspect of our program. It was an incredible night filled with athletes, special guests, and ahrc nyc family and friends. last night, the ahrc nyc community gathered together for the annual thurman munson awards honoring the isaacson family corporate hero award recipient, mark deieso.
