Usingenglish provides a large and growing collection of english as a second language (esl) tools & resources for students, teachers, learners and academics, covering the full spectrum of esl, efl, esol, and eap subject areas.

They work with adult students in one on one sessions or in small groups. potential tutors are interviewed, trained, and assigned a student (s) through the hillsborough literacy council to be adult basic education (abe) tutors or english for speakers of other languages (esol). Volunteers provide tutoring in adult basic literacy. they teach adults how to read. students must be at least 18 years old. they also teach english for speakers of other languages (esol) classes. english practice meetings allow esol students to become more confident speaking and listening to english. they meet at several library locations. Each of these students has a story to tell and a personal history as diverse as the countries and cultures they represent. our programs goals are: to develop the students’ english language proficiency in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Bond with your baby through stories, rhymes and songs in this 30 minute lapsit program that introduces early literacy skills and encourages language development.
