Esf Suny Clean Energy Consortium Our students are high achieving, engaged, active, and enthusiastic. at esf, you can pursue your interests and passions and take them even farther through research; field, lab, and studio work; and study abroad and internship opportunities. Currently, esf’s thermal energy network is powered by steam distribution through a looped system of underground pipes. the clean energy master plan, co funded by nyserda, proposes a decarbonized thermal energy network that could help esf decrease its greenhouse gas emissions by over 40%. Students will learn about the production and conversion of different forms of energy, their current and future supplies, and the markets and policy mechanisms that regulate their supply.
