Building on esf’s 2009 climate action plan, the cemp for esf provides a snapshot of historical energy and ghg emission trends, and a roadmap for further reductions in energy use, fossil fuel dependence, utility costs, and ghg emissions.

The terms of reference, work plans or other documents defining the scope and outputs of technical assistance activities will be drafted so that the advice and other support provided is consistent with esss 1–10. Areas of expertise include most aspects of energy efficiency, including energy analysis and auditing, energy simulation modeling, energy master planning, decarbonization, commissioning, measurement and verification (m&v), and technology assessment. One of the most exciting project ideas included in the clean energy master plan is to transition away from steam by building a campus wide hot water distribution loop.

One of the most exciting project ideas included in the clean energy master plan is to transition away from steam by building a campus wide hot water distribution loop. Currently, esf’s thermal energy network is powered by steam distribution through a looped system of underground pipes. the clean energy master plan, co funded by nyserda, proposes a decarbonized thermal energy network that could help esf decrease its greenhouse gas emissions by over 40%. Ramboll has been a partner to suny esf through the development of the clean energy master plan, participating in critical discussions of the key mandates and drivers, offering strategic advice of clean energy options, and setting the foundation of the most economically viable low carbon technologies and operational strategies to reduce fossil. Electricity generation is the single emissions globally in 2040. key milestones throughout 2021 2040 include phasing out coal. largest source of energy related co2 and adding significant solar and wind installed capacity. source: iea (2021), net zero by 2050: a roadmap for the global energy sector.
