Agu American Geophysical Union Enhancing total water prediction for the great lakes through calibration of the national water model in canadian watersheds philip chu, noaa great lakes environmental research laboratory. The aim of the 2019 fall meeting was to prepare for what’s ahead: rapid developments in our science, new approaches to observing our earth and beyond, the introduction of new data streams, growing demand for accessible science, the expansion of convergent science, and more. Tom giambelluca, liat portner, han tseng, matt lucas, and abby frazier all presented at the american geophysical union (agu) fall meeting in san francisco, dec. 9 13, 2019. The research identified the existence of disputes between upstream and downstream communities related to the existing river water supply system. these were particularly related to sharing of services and benefits derived from good water supply, which were often ignored in the management plans.
