Environmental Justice Spatial Distribution Of Environmental Costs Explore the spatial distribution of environmental costs and benefits, and discover how economic geography shapes environmental justice in diverse communities. Although the deji focuses specifically on urban green spaces, this study also establishes a spatial approach that addresses several ej issues planners faces when seeking to prioritise interventions, including the spatial distribution of environmental risks and disadvantaged communities.
Regional Distributive justice requires an equitable distribution of the costs of environmental risks and of the benefits of environmental values across the demographic and geographic scales. In the urban context, environmental justice depends on the level of equity in the spatial distribution of costs and benefits to the population groups that make up the socio residential structure of the city. This research aims to address this research gap by reviewing and synthesizing the body of literature reporting on urban green spaces in cities of the global south and analyzing how different dimensions of environmental justice have been explored and articulated. Spatial environmental justice fundamentally examines the geographical distribution of environmental burdens and benefits, asking who experiences positive or negative environmental conditions and where these experiences are located.
