The college of engineering’s annual senior design showcase, nebraska’s premier undergraduate engineering student design event, is scheduled for friday, april 24 in kiewit hall on unl's city campus.
Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Showcase At the showcase, you see first hand how engineering vols are reimagining the future. over 120 student teams from every engineering discipline show how they took real world challenges from their clients and came up with creative, innovative, and practical solutions. The engineering design showcase is the culminating experience for graduating seniors. a senior design experience is required for all students in an engineering major. The excellence in senior design (esd) showcase was established in 2019 by the southwest region to provide an opportunity for ece students to showcase their design and problem solving skills in a friendly competition, and connect faculty members at participating schools in meaningful ways. Our senior project focuses on developing a thermal wind tunnel designed to test electronic components under a range of wind and temperature conditions, simulating environments such as server rooms or desktop systems.

The point of the project is not to just search for a scalable commercial idea, but to use the three c’s of the keen program to develop a solution and gain other real world skills that will help them in their future engineering careers.
