Enabling City Transformation Netzerocities Netzerocities aims to enable european cities and citizens to show the way forward towards an inclusive, thriving, climate resilient and sustainable future. Unlike the pilot cities programme, which aimed at identifying and overcoming barriers to climate action in cities, the enabling city transformation (ect) programme is designed to explore and implement enabling innovations for whole city transformation. By building the necessary conditions for city wide transformation, the programme seeks to create a strategic portfolio of interventions that supports the implementation of the eu cities mission. selected cities will propose innovative actions to address systemic implementation challenges. We address climate change across four priority themes: urban areas, land use, production systems, climate metrics and finance. education is at the heart of these themes to inspire and empower the next generation of climate leaders. The cities mission platform, managed by the netzerocities project in which errin is a partner, has opened a call for the enabling city transformation programme. The netzerocities platform, of which the ufm is part, will allow the initiatives in each of these cities to promote better and faster transitions to subsequently transfer them to other cities that are part of the mission.
