Empathy interviews are a powerful tool when that data is used in partnership with community. used in a vacuum they could perpetuate harm and reinforce the status quo. An empathy interview is a one on one conversation where open ended questions are used to elicit stories and experiences from individuals. unlike traditional interviews, empathy interviews focus on understanding the emotions, challenges, and behaviors of the person being interviewed.
