As a culmination activity to the third immigration unit, we will be having an ellis island simulation. the kids will be immigrants coming from their home country and trying to find their way around ellis island (aka our school). Students will simulate the immigration process at ellis island to understand the experiences of immigrants arriving in the united states in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
