Elizabeth Blanchet House Elizabeth was a regular volunteer in our cafe before becoming a day services coordinator. she loves food, travel, books, and blanchet house. Elizabeth asked to have her photo taken with ron because she’d like him to be recognized for all that he does to serve with calm, compassion, and humor. he’s always early, stays late, trains volunteers and tends to all of the dog guests making sure they get a bowl of food and water.
Our Services Elizabeth House Hospital Our staff often witness powerful moments, like this one of elizabeth ashworth helping a woman in crisis lace up a new pair of shoes. staff member jennifer coon was moved to capture the photo. They established a permanent location in 1958. in 2012, after a decade of planning and fundraising, the blanchet house board built a new building, capable of housing up to 58 men and feeding approximately 1,000 people a day. this is the building they operate in today.
