Eames House Project On Behance In order to gain an idea as to the layout of our chosen property (eames house) we accessed cad drawings of floorplans and elevations. this enabled us to understand and conceptualise the space within its environment to be able to identify key areas in which we wanted to initially sketch. The eames house, case study house #8, was one of roughly two dozen homes built as part of the case study house program. john entenza, the editor and owner of arts & architecture magazine, spearheaded the program in the mid 1940s until its end in the mid 1960s. Inspired by victorian railway architecture and typography, this project was dedicated to charles’s love for trains and children. eames designed everything from the station and station house to the graphics for the posters and signage for the park.
