I created this document, with 30 prompts exercises complete with linked tutorials i found useful as a beginner. originally it was just going to be a challenge for myself but i figured it might be helpful to share it with others!. In course 2, you’ll practice measuring, block ins, and value to develop structured, lifelike drawings. in the final course, you’ll follow extended demonstrations of birds and botanicals from start to finish—experiencing the full drawing process in real time. When you're new to drawing, the first thing you have to learn is objectively seeing shapes and angles. when you turn it the right way round, you'll be surprised to see how well you did! no need to post this image for critique, it just marks your journey to changing how you see the world. Basically, my question is how useful is it to actually go step by step and spend weeks or months practicing fundamentals compared to drawing what you want to draw? my goal is to hopefully make my own webtoon someday, but i need to work on my art first.
