Drawing from ambedkar’s insights, the proposed lecture aims to reflect upon the questions of freedom of speech, social justice and annihilation of caste in our times. The centre for dr. b. r. ambedkar studies was set up in kurukshetra university in june, 1992 to mark the centenary celebration of baba saheb dr. bhim rao ambedkar who played important role in the constitutional development and emancipation of the scheduled castes and weaker sections of the society. School of development studies was one among the first schools that were created at ambedkar university delhi. over the years the school has made its presence felt in india and abroad by intensely engaging with different development questions from an interdisciplinary perspective.
